As a retired fine arts and elementary education teacher, I would’ve read this book to my class in preparation of a lesson requiring imagination, or before going on a museum field trip! Today, I can recommend giving this book as a gift because of its presentation of stimulating vocabulary, rhyming sections, and the encouraging prompts to exercise our imagination within its pages. Plus, the chubbie bubbie chipmunk illustrations are just so adorable!!

I just read Trip to the Museum to my 5 and 6 year old boys. They loved it! The characters are very charismatic and the story line is easy to follow. My kids were really excited about the imagination part, and are asking to go to the museum to see if they can make the paintings come alive. Per their website, it looks like there are more books in a series that will be released this year. Also the book itself is great quality and the illustrations are very captivating.
